Gallery closes down after 10 successful years leading the way for Contemporary Outsider Art movement

In 2014 after a trailblazing and excellent run of success the artist members and Board took the tough decision to close the gallery down. Over the years having been successful in securing funding within more challenging times of recession and cuts we had found it harder and harder to sustain access to funding.
We celebrated the sheer power and uniqueness of artists' work and the way it challenges negative public misperceptions and stereotypes.

We  facilitated social change by creating opportunities for access and inclusion in the arts.

The Gallery was managed by representatives from it's artist membership: people who have experienced some form of social disadvantage in one way or other, whether through mental or physical health needs, learning difficulties, homelessness or substance mis-use.

We want to thank every artist member who shared their work, time and talents with us between 2004 - 2014.

The Gallery's members were drawn from a number of associated organisations across the UK such;
  • The Creativity Centre
  • Studio Upstairs
  • Creative Futures and Impact Art Fair
  • Studio Upstairs
  • Action Space
  • Core Arts
  • Capital A
  • St. Mungos
  • Skylight @ Crisis
  • Creative Islington
  • Islington Exhibits
  • Peter Bedford
